Are your retail displays ready for selling season?

If you’re a merchant, you’re probably getting ready for this year’s selling season.

Selling season, October through December, is when consumers will hand billions of dollars over to merchants. It’s the one season every merchant pays particular attention to.

Merchants focus on three things: 1) products, 2) packaging, and 3) displays.

A merchant may have a great product, but if the packaging or display doesn’t represent the product well, it won’t sell.

The best retail stores, both brick and mortar and  online retailers, aim to impress each customer with fresh display ideas and packaging they feel proud to hold.

Litho display poles are one of our products that help merchants make selling season a success! Litho display poles often go unnoticed, but only if you’re not supposed to see it. Structurally, display poles are made just like paper towel tubes and wrapping paper tubes, only stronger.

The photo above is what the most common display poles look like – white litho paper (glossy) on the outside with a kraft brown connector.

If a merchant chooses to go the extra display mile, they won’t only utilize the display pole to support signage, they’ll incorporate the look of the display pole into their display.

Below is a photo of a larger display pole (4 inch diameter), wrapped with what is to look like bamboo. Four color graphics are printed on C2S lithographic sheets and applied to kraft tubes with a special adhesive. This eye catching display ended up looking like a monkey playing around on what looked like a bamboo jungle.

Another economical way to increase the aesthetics of display poles is to incorporate color. Display poles with color wraps cost less than four color printing but are still able to draw attention.

Here’s an example of silver display poles along side a kraft display pole. By comparison, you can easily see how the silver paper enhances the overall look.

Display poles only make up a portion of retail displays. Floor display use “feet” or “molded plastic bases” to support a single, vertical standing display pole, but when four poles are needed, alternate solutions are required. Here’s an example of a 4-way PVC connector. This piece would utilize four different display poles. Depending on the design and purpose of each display, the number of display poles will vary.

Whichever style display pole you choose for your visual merchandising this year, we wish you a successful selling season!
